Saturday, was a lazy day.
Jesse walked with the guys and Marilyn and I walked to the Rec center to meet them for breakfast at 8am. We ordered our eggs, then went through the line to get biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and pancakes.
It was nice to share the first meal of the day with our friends. Once we were done our breakfast, Marilyn and I finished our walk, while the guys went home.
The rest of the day we just hung around the Kram-a-lot talking, computering and watching TV.
For dinner we went to Subway and brought a sandwich back home.
Sunday, was a much more active day.
We started at 10am by meeting the other 5 couples at Ed’s to load bikes.
Gordon had friends coming to visit so they were not going, but was kind enough to take our group picture.
The three trucks caravan to our 1st stop.
We unloaded our bikes and went to the visitors center to check in and show the passes for admittance, then took off down trail.
We didn’t see many birds and it was not as enjoyable as the last bike ride we went on in my opinion, although I enjoyed the exercise and being with our group very much.
After our 3 mile ride we gathered for our lunch.
We then went to Palo Alto Battlefield. This is where in 1846 the US and Mexico fought for the Texas territory.
Another group picture
We saw a short film on the history of the battle and then given an explanation about what the soldiers did in there spare time.
Everyone seemed to be interested
Except Ed, what do you think? Is he interested? Tired? Bored?
On the way back to Llano we stopped at DQ and got a refreshment of ice cream.
It was a great day and looking forward to another tomorrow.

Ed looks like he is into it here. It must have been one heck of a battle!
