We arrived at Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort on May 19th. We are parked in the same site as last year #75. I really like the site, it has just enough mix of sun and shade. We can see what’s going on around us but we are not out in the open.
We set-up what really had to get done and got cleaned up and dove into Pueblo to meet the family at Cracker Barrel for dinner. It has been 8 months since we saw them and it was really good to spend time with them. We lingered long after our meals were eaten.
On Sunday we finished setting-up and caught up with the residents in the campground and was asked to start work on Monday, and we both agreed.
I worked 9 ½ hours and Mary Nell had me familiar with the system within an hour or so. Jesse had the task of power washing the buildings.
I worked again on Tuesday. Wednesday morning I took the boys to see Kristie (their favorite groomer) and I went to the dentist. I had a filling and they made adjustments to my bottom partial plate.
Once I returned to camp I ate some lunch and then went down to work so Mary Nell could have a break.
I also worked Thursday afternoon after spending the morning having a mani/pedi.
I worked again on Friday, but was off Saturday and Sunday!
Saturday was the big day - our grandson Ryan graduated from Pueblo County High School. It was a nice ceremony being held outside on the football field, so it was hot!
Afterward we all went to Beth’s for a party/cookout. There was an array of food, but the star was the baby back ribs Adam (our son) made they were delicious.
On Sunday Ed and Marilyn arrived and it was really good to see them again. I had made crock pot ribs, baked beans and pasta salad for dinner to share with them. They came over around 4:00 and we had drinks then sat outside in the screened in room for our meal. It was a little too chilly to sit outside so we took the gathering inside the rig. We visited, had lots of laughs and dessert I made bread pudding with a lemon sauce.
It was sooooo nice to be with these good friends again. Jesse and I are really looking forward to spending the summer with them again.
My normal work schedule is all day Monday and Wednesday with Tuesday and Thursday and Sunday off. Like last year I work Friday night and Saturday morning.
Yesterday was our day off and the 4 of us went into town. We shopped in Home Depot, and the men shopped at the shoe store….You heard me right the MEN purchased shoes not the women.
We went to Jorges for lunch and had a great time, the margarita were very good and we were feeling good after one!
Today I cleaned, did laundry and defrosted the freezer. I went to work at 1PM and will close the store.

Well Ginger us men do need to buy shoes once in a while. The difference is we go in the store, get the right size, and leave, we don't have to try on every pair in every size that is remotely close to our size just to see whether they make our feet look big or not.
Sounds like you folks will be having a great summer in Colorado.
