Sunday, August 10 - Newest Family Member (Colorado Springs, CO)

While I worked yesterday I looked on line at the ads for dogs in the newspaper’

I saw Shih Tzu puppies for sale and called the number.

The lady was very informative and emailed me a picture of the 2 little girls she had.

They lived in Burlington, CO which is 150 miles from here. They said they would be in the Spring tomorrow morning and they would me us at the mall so I could meet the dogs.

So I asked David to fill in for me at the office while we drove into town to meet them.

How do you choose, they are all so cute.

She weight nothing and is very sweet.

After we got back to the campground Bella and I went back to work.

She laid in her kennel and was such a good little girl.

She walked around outdoors a little when Jesse came to visit.

Saturday, August 9 - Breakfast, Farmers Market and Back to Work (Colorado Springs, CO)

Ed picked us up at 8am and we drove to Sheldon’s for breakfast.

There were 8 of us and we enjoyed a tasty breakfast.

Then we drove to Old Colorado City to their Farmer’s Market.  The gang had been numerous times, but I was always working, so this was my first time. I really liked it.

There was so much fresh vegetables, fruit, breads, candies, nuts, flowers, pastas and roasted peppers.

We purchased cantaloupe, tomatoes, corn on cob, pasta and candies.

With all our goodies stowed in the back of Casper (Marilyn’s car) we took a drive around the Garden of the Gods. It is always a pretty area to see again and again.

David contacted me last night to ask if I would work Saturday and Sunday and I said yes.

So as soon as we returned to the campground I went to work in the office.

I worked until 8pm and it was pretty slow.

Friday, August 8 - Another Mixed Bag Today (Colorado Springs, CO)

Bob and Janet were leaving today. It has been a great summer with them and we will see them again in November down in the Rio-Grande Valley.

Jesse, Ed, Marilyn and myself were all over at their site talking this morning and B&J were all packed and ready to go. Finally around 9am we left them to pull out and I shed a tear.

Thankfully we heard later that day that they arrived safely.

Shortly after, Jesse and I were ready to move. We were moving to site #1 a water electric site. We got all set back up and I made potato salad for tonight.

We were going to our Beth and DJ’s house for a surprise graduation party for Beth who just completed her Bachelor's degree. We are so proud of her, she has worked really hard.

Pictures from the party that ended up not being a surprise because some co-workers spilled the beans.
