We arranged to depart Swift Current at 9am. We were all hooked up and ready at 8:20.
We had a wonderful visit with our friends, but our goal is Alaska.
Not too long into the drive we arrived in Alberta Province.
We drove past a sign that said this was the largest Teepee in the world. Don’t know if it’s true but I took a picture.
We were planning to stay the night at Tillebrook Provincial Park. But it looked like there was nothing there but prairie land so we continued on Trans Canada Highway.
We took a bypass around Calgary. I would have liked to drive thru the town, but I didn’t get a vote.
We saw what I can only guess is a ski jump area, maybe from the 1988 Olympic.
As we drove on we stared to see snow cap mountains.
We stopped around 3:30 pm in Canmore Canada at Spring Creek Mountain Village. We will stay at least 2 nights so we can go exploring the area tomorrow.
Hope you have a good night!

You were right Ginger ... those ski jumps were built for the 88 Olympic games!!
The traffic in Calgary is horrendous. The city just passed one million people, which is the population of all of Saskatchewan.
Canmore is the playground of some rich folks.
Now you are getting into some nice scenery!!
