We departed Sheridan, WY at 9am following behind B&J traveling into Montana (A new state for us)
Sure is some beautiful country.
Just outside of Billings, MT - Bob called us on the radio saying he needed to pull over because he was losing tire pressure. He was unable to avoid running over a mirror in the road and it made a whole in his front left tire on his truck.
He and Jesse changed the tire in minutes then we looked for someplace to have it repaired.
They found a place and was told it would be about an hour. So we decided to have lunch right across the street at Godfather’s Pizza. Unfortunately they were unable to repair so they had to purchase a new tire.
Then we were on our way again. More scenery.
We stopped for the night at James Kripp Recreation Area, on the banks of Missouri River just north of Lewistown, MT. No hook-up, no cell service, and no internet.
We sat and had a drink while looking at the map to decide the best way to travel tomorrow.
Jesse, Bob and I took a walk down to the river while Janet was making us dinner.
The weather was finally very nice so we were able to eat outside. Janet made a 1 pot pasta dish with fresh baked rolls. It was yummy!!
We went to bed early, although it was still light out.
Follow along with Bob and Janet‘s blog.
