We woke to a foggy gray morning. It was suppose to be nice outside today so I had planned a lunch gathering with new friends Greg and Barb Jones.
We were Facebook friends, but really not communicated with each other. When we had gone to the movies a few weeks back to see Avatar they were seated next to us. I recognized them and we have been talking since then.
They decided to come down to our area (they have a site in Retama Village in Mission). I also invited Roger and Joyce to join us. Greg said they were excited to meet new friends and so were we.
They arrived right on time. Jesse had set up outside he put the awing up. I love having the awing out because it seems like another room to me. It was only partly sunny, but I liked it.
The six of sat and talked getting to know each other. I had sat out some snacks and after awhile we put the burgers on the grill. I also made potato salad and baked beans to go with the burgers and fixings'.
After eating the meal I asked Joyce to serve her wonderful contribution to our meal (Ed eat your heart out) homemade lemon meringue pie. It was delicious, the only problem was there were no leftovers, we ate the whole thing.
We were starting to get a little chilled so we moved to the sun.
It was a very enjoyable relaxing day. We look forward to seeing these new friends somewhere in time down the road.
