Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Sunday, March 13 -- Yosemite (Coarsegold, CA)

Today we hung out at home. I did some laundry and some cleaning.

Midday Jesse decided to give the Dish another try and he was somewhat successful!

He moved the dish to 4 different locations and was not successful. Being persistent the 5th place he tried we got a signal.

We still were not able to get High Definition channels, but the picture on our satellite is better then the parks cable and now we can use the DVR!!!

Today blog is really more about Saturday's visit to Yosemite.   Warning!!! ------ lots of pictures. (If you click on them they get bigger)

We started out at about 9:30 am. We loaded up the boys and took off. We stopped in Oakhurst at a small place for some breakfast. We both had the French toast special.

Once we got to the entrance of Yosemite National Park, we paid our $20 and drove to the left.

We climbed to about 5,000 feet and guess what we found?  SNOW!!! I was very excited to visit snow.

We continued on the road when we were at 3,000 feet the temperature was about 55 degrees and we saw almost no snow.

Our 1st water fall was Bridalveil Fall. We were able to walk up to it although we didn’t go all the way because we would have gotten wet and the trail was snow and ice covered.

Not sure which one this was, the bottom was iced over it was beautiful.

Then we walked around the visitors center and the Village and store.

I was very surprised at the number of campers in the area In tents!!  At 6,000 feet the temps were down to about 43 degrees.

We spent about 5 hours driving and walking around the park…I was very impressed and it was just awesome!! BEAUTIFUL!!

When we walked the boys Bayer and Mr. B avoided the snow and mud, but Buddy walked right through the puddles and he looked for as much snow as possible to walk through, he had always liked the snow just like me.

Guess you folks are still too young for the Senior Access Pass to the National Parks, think one must be 62 to be eligible. Cost $10 and good for life and provides entry to any National Park as well as other benefits, such as reduced camping fees at Corp Parks. Can be purchased at any National Park. I enjoy reading of your adventures. Marty
