Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Tuesday, September 30 - Weekend activities

Yesterday, Monday, we had the day off and the morning was our usual weekend morning stuff. We decided to go out to a movie, and saw Eagle Eye. It was full of action and kept you on the edge of your seat with all the action. The concept was a little far fetched it think, but maybe not. Maybe we can be watched 24-7 if our government wants to.

After the movie we went to do the grocery shopping. I felt sorry for Jesse walking around the store, because he is still in a lot of pain. I told him to go sit down that I could do it myself, but he wouldn’t listen. He goes back to the doctor on Thursday and I told him to speak up and let him know how much pain he is in. He is not sleeping because of the pain.

After dinner we watched our Monday night shows until time for bed.

Saturday, Jesse worked and I prepared the house for our open house. The boys and I went to Wal*Mart parking lot and sat with Jesse while he had his lunch. We had one family that looked-NO OFFERS.

Our daughter met me at the house after the open house to drop the children off for the night. They had an event to attend in Denver so the children were spending the night with gramps and GiGi.

They were excited to play the Wii. They had the most fun with boxing.

Here are a few pictures of the action

We also bowled even Colt was able to do this one with us. Kacie and Ryan love Chinese food so I called in an order and Jesse brought it home with him. Colt fell asleep and missed dinner. When he got up he was a little grouchy and didn’t want to eat. He has not been feeling to good so I didn’t push it.

Colt wanted Grampy to wear his hat

After dinner and the clean up we played a game called Sequence. We played this game with Ed and Marilyn and enjoyed it so much that we purchased it only $15.00. The children liked it also.

After 3 games the girls beat the boys 2 to 1 we had dessert apple pie and ice cream. Always a big hit! Then we watched a little TV until time for bed. The boys slept in the room with the TV and around mid-night I went in and said TV off and go to sleep and they did.

On Sunday I made a 4 layer scrambled egg bake. It was made with fried potatoes and onions, (1st layer) corned beef hash, (2nd layer) poured scrambled eggs (3rd layer) on top and baked it in cast iron skittle for about 20-25 minutes with cheddar cheese (4th layer) sprinkled on top. I served it with toast and jelly and it was YUMMY.

Colt building a house, he was also having a bad hair day

After breakfast, showers and clean clothes we just hung out. The children played Wii and messed around on the computers. I made chili cheese dogs for lunch. Their Mother picked them up around 3:30.

Jesse and I just relaxed and had cereal for dinner. We watched the premiers of Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers & Sisters before going off to bed.

We hope to see ya down the road.

Friday, September 26 - Kacie

Yesterday after work I went to watch Kacie play volleyball. They played the 1st match and lost 24 to 25. They won the 2nd match 25 to 18 and won the 3rd match 15 to 14. The games were close and much fun to watch.

Here are some pictures:

After the game I went home to find Jesse in a lot of discomfort from the day’s activity at work. He sat on ice after we had our bagel Thursday dinner, while we watched Survivor and ER.

It was off to bed after our shows.

We hope see ya down the road.

Thursday, September 25 - Just checking in

Not much new here, but I wanted to check in to let everyone know we are doing well.

We have an appointment this morning for someone to come and look at the house as a rental.

Tuesday Jesse and I went out to dinner (Red Lobster) and then home to watch the new shows on TV, very exciting anniversary huh? :~)

Last night was more of the same as we got caught up on the shows we recorded from Tuesday. I made salmon cakes and scallop potatoes for dinner.

Today is my payroll and A/P day and after work I am going to watch Kacie play volleyball.

Hopefully soon we will see ya down the road.

Tuesday, September 23 - 29 Years

Today is our 29th wedding anniversary. Here is a picture from that day.

We had a good weekend, although we didn’t do much.

On Saturday Jesse worked and I was home cleaning, cooking and baking. I also read blogs. Once Jesse was home we had dinner of swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans and salad. For dessert I made chocolate pudding and cookie bars. We watched TV and just hung out until time for bed.

On Sunday we were up and doing our usual weekend routine. Then around 11am we were out the door to return rented movies and pick up some Wii games. After that we were off to do the grocery shopping. Once we were home we just messed around the house. I made pasta and shrimp and mixed it with butter, olive oil, garlic and parmesan cheese. We also had salad and bread and I made enough for tomorrow too. We had pudding for dessert.

Monday we went out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel then home again and we worked out with the Wii for a while. I scan some pictures, and we went to watch our granddaughter Kacie play volleyball for her school. Her team lost both games, although she played very well.

After the game we went home to eat our leftovers and watched TV until bed time.

We will see ya down the road.

Friday, September 19 - 1/2 work day and errands

I worked a 1/2 day today, and had some errands after I got off. I was supposed to go the blockbuster and rent the last two discs from last seasons Hero’s. Then I went to the bank, then off to Wal*Mart.

Jesse and I purchased the WII game system on Thursday. He has been watching for it and the WII fit to be in stock. Our anniversary is coming up and that was to be our present. I needed to purchase another remote and nunchuk, so that we could both play together. So far I really like the system. I have wanted to lose some weight and get better fit, so I hope this will help.

I made us chicken tacos for dinner and Jesse ate graham crackers for dessert (I didn’t make anything).

Hopefully tomorrow with be a more exciting day, but I wouldn’t count on it.

See ya down the road.

Thursday, September 18 - 4th Anniversary

Yesterday was much of the same as far as work goes. Jesse had therapy again and I think it seems to be helping some. I sure hope he gets better soon, I am tired. He usually helps me with dinner by getting the table set and making drinks. It may not sound like much, but it is a big help. He has not been doing that lately because it is painful for him to stand and walk and after working all day he is very sore and tired.

I received the contract from the management company for renting the house, we only need to sign and return and then wait. I hope we are making the right decision, I guess time will tell.

Today is our daughter Beth and DJ’s 4th wedding anniversary.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

They had such a good time on their day

Everyone looked so good!

I have to go back to work now, so I will close by saying:

Hope to see ya down the road.

Monday, September 15 - Ran Errands

Jesse and I were up around 6:30 and we had our coffee and sat at the computers for awhile.

After awhile I went to get a shower and get dressed because we were going to run some errands.

We left the house around 11am. We went to Target first. I wanted to see if they had the game called Sequence and they did :~) we had played it with Ed and Marilyn and we liked it and I thought it would be a good game to play with the children.

After that we went to Blockbuster to rent some movies, then to Chili’s for some lunch. After our belly’s were full we went to Wal*Mart for a few more items, I needed laundry soap so I could finish doing the laundry. I was trying to hurry because I knew Jesse was hurting a lot doing all this walking, but he insisted he was okay.

When we got home we watched movies Baby Mama (cute) and the 1st 3 episodes of the 2nd season of Hero’s. About half way through Jesse got hungry so I warmed him the left over pizza and we had ice cream for dessert.

We also watched some TV before going off to bed.

We have decided to rent the house so we may

See ya down the road soon!!

Sunday, September 14 - Busy Weekend

On Friday after work I went and picked up Colt at daycare. He was glad to see me and came running into my arms when I got in the door. Then we drove to Avondale, which is about 30 miles east to pick Kacie up at school.

Once we were on our way home I asked Kacie what she wanted for dinner. She wanted me to make homemade pizza. So I called Jesse and asked him to bring home the items I needed to prepare pizza and salad.

Jesse had gone back to the doctor’s today and he gave him some pain medicine and after some confusion he went directly to the physical therapist. He has to go to therapy next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday also. He is still not feeling to good.

Once we were all home I started to prepare dinner while Kacie was doing her homework and Colt was in “his room” watching cartoons. Ryan was spending the night with a friend because they were going to a football game at his school.

After we had dinner we relaxed and watched TV for awhile. Kacie and I played Yatzee on the computer and she kept winning. I made a small cherry dump cake for dessert and we all had a piece for dessert.

We all went to bed around 10 and I didn’t hear a peep out of anyone until morning.

On Saturday Jesse had to go to work. After he left a read some blogs and checked emails. Then I went and got ready to go to Ryan football game. I got Kacie and Colt out of bed, got Colt dressed and ready while Kacie took a shower and got dressed. I made them some cold cereal for breakfast and we were off.

County High, which is Ryan’s school, was competing against Pueblo West High. We got there a few minutes late and the game had already started. I know very little about football, but I was there to cheer for his team. Ryan is number 61

Unfortunately they lost the game, but everyone said they played well.

We all went to Wal*Mart after the game and the children ate Subway for lunch while sitting with Jesse (Grampy) and talking. When they finished their lunch and Grampy went back to work we shopped for the items I needed.

Back at home Ryan took a shower while I put the groceries away. I made the burgers for dinner and then we just hung out. Kacie was on the desktop computer, I was on the laptop and Ryan was on his laptop. The student in his school received a laptop computer this year. They receive their assignments and have to email them back to their teachers. It is a new program this year, I am not sure what the purpose is.

Colt was getting fussy and needed a nap so I put him in “his room” to watch TV and he fell asleep.

They are so peaceful when sleeping.

After Jesse got home we had dinner, hamburgers, hotdogs, curly fries, corn and applesauce. After dinner we played Mexican train double dominoes and had a very good time. We had ice-cream for desert and then off to bed.

Sunday morning I made bacon, pancakes and eggs for breakfast which was a big hit. Colt loves pancakes. Once I got everything cleaned up including myself, I gave Colt a bath. Then Colt and I drove Ryan to meet with his friends so they could play paint ball.

When I got back they wanted lunch. (Again it reminded me why you have your children when you are young) I made hotdogs and gave them chips for lunch.

Shortly after lunch Beth & DJ arrived and we gathered all their belongings. There was a pile of stuff they had brought. We visited with them for awhile; as they told us about their weekend then they all left with kisses and hugs.

It was a very good weekend with the Grandchildren and I enjoyed them very much.

Once they left Jesse and I just relaxed in front of the TV until time for bed.

See ya down the road.
