Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Monday, July 7 - One Fish (Ninilchik, Alaska)

Jesse, Bob and Janet went fishing this morning.

12 001

They left at 8:45 and went to the hardware store in town to get their King Salmon Stamp. Then they went to the Ninilchik River to climb down the river bank, cross over the river to the other side to fish.

As I understand you are allowed to catch 10 fish under 20 inches, but as soon as you catch one over 20 inches you must stop fishing.

Jesse caught 2 fish but they were too red and threw them back. The fish turn red when they are near the end of their life cycle and are not good eating.

Janet didn’t catch any and Bob caught 4, but only one was a keeper.

They returned around 2:30 with the one fish.

I  watched TV and watch a movie “The Notebook” and just enjoyed my time alone.

It was my turn to cook. I made turkey mignons, stuffing, gravy, grazed carrots, leftover corn casserole and cranberry sauce.

After dinner we watched more TV until time to go to bed.

Hey Jesse and Ginger...

You are bringing back a lot of fond memories of our journey to Alaska.

Good job on the blog and photos.

Enjoy...and stay safe of course!
