Today was a travel day to Charleston, SC. We were in no hurry to leave today because we didn’t have far to travel.

We left at 10:45am (1st time we left that late on a travel day) we traveled 85 miles (shortest miles traveled).

We arrived at Lake Aire RV Park at 12:25pm.

Although it was a beautiful day sunny and reached 80 degrees, it had rained here quite a bit so the ground was very soft.

It was a challenge for Jesse to get us level and not sinking in the mud, but he did it. It is spring break here so the camp ground is pretty full.

Once set up we were hungry so I made us some eggs salad and tuna salad, and we ate a sandwich.

I also started some potatoes for potato salad. Then I went in to get a shower and dressed. While Jesse was showering and dressing I made the potato salad.

We left the rig to take a drive into Charleston to just get a feel for the area. We are both looking forward to exploring the area over the next few days.

We stopped at a Publix (out first time) on the way home. It was a very nice store and the produce looked fresh. They had a special on strawberries so I bought 4 cartons of them.

After returning home I washed lettuce, cut up tomatoes and cucumbers. I put out the salads and that was dinner, I cut up one of the cartons of strawberries and served them on the little sponge cakes with cool whip for dessert.

WE spent the rest of the evening watching TV and computering.

It was a very nice day. I hope you also had a nice day.

You must go to lunch at Hymans Seafood & Deli on Meeting St while you are in Charleston.

Glad you had a safe travel day! Have fun in Charleston.....it is one of our favorite places.

Thanks for the wonderful tour of Savannah and the great pics. Lived in Georgia for a ton of years and have never been there. It is on our "to see" list for sure.

Take care,

We stayed at Lake Aire a couple of years ago. It's a nice place from which to explore Charleston. We took a walking tour and it was great. Enjoy!
