Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Wednesday, July 30 - Travel Day Back to USA Day Two (Clinton, BC Canada)

We left Vanderhoof at 8:45 this morning.

We ran into some road construction right away, but were only delayed for a few minutes.

002

Again today the drive was interesting because there were some towns we went through.

The first one was Prince George with a population of about 70,000. It is the largest city in northern British Columbia, Canada, and is the "Northern Capital" of BC.

003

It was like most larger cities with major stores and restaurants.

008

It also had a casino.

014

015

018

Hixon was next, but it was real small, mostly farm land.

024

025

Quesnel is a small city that is part of the Cariboo District of British Columbia. Located nearly between the cities of Prince George and Williams Lake. It is claimed to be home to the world's largest gold pan, although this is disputed by Nome, Alaska.

031

035

It was a pretty city the streets are lined in flowers.

036

038

041

We stopped to stretch our legs and Bob and Janet traded spaces and Janet drove for while.

049

051

After driving for about an hours we came to Williams Lake.

056

062

067

We stopped at a rest stop so B&J could switch drivers again. I took some pictures of old buildings.

About 2:45 we came to our stop for the night in Clinton BC. Gold Trail RV Park.

083

085

It’s a Passport America Park, the cost for FHU with WiFi was $20.

090

This arrangement is on our site.

089

After setting up we sat outside with a cold beverage. The weather was really warm and sunny. We actually had to use our AC. First time since we left Swift Current.

091

It’s an unusual place with about 20 sites. Michael, the owner is loud and quite a jokester.

He has vegetable gardens all over the place with cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, pole beans, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, strawberries, cucumbers, pumpkins, several kinds of lettuce, green onion, and much more.

PM 004 PM 005PM 006

He also serves a buffet that is open to the public. We decided to have our dinner there, it was okay.

That photo of Jesse becoming one with the totem pole, was hilarious!

I am guessing that our high cost of fuel and groceries is making you "run for the border"!!

Have a safe drive today...TnT
