WE left camp about 8:20 this morning. I took this picture as we past the airport.
With Jesse leading we drove the Alaska Highway for the 1st few miles, then turned onto Klondike Hwy “2” for the remainder of our drive today.
It was another day of NO WILDLIFE so I was not very happy about that. We did go past the beautiful clear lake.
About an hour later we drove to:
And got this:
As you can see this covered the whole plate so the 4 of us shared with some left over. It was huge and very good for only $10, what a bargain.
From there we started to have some rough patches in the road. The whole road wasn’t too bad but when these area came up they were bad.
We drove right through this small town.
Today was the warmest day we have had since we left Swift Current.
We arrived at Klondike River Provincial Campground around 3:30. No hook-ups for $12.00 per night.
I made myself a Cranberry Cosmo. The guys had a beer and took a walk around the campground. Janet was making dinner. I went to sit with her.
We had a potato casserole, cucumber and tomato salad and pork tenderloins. As usual everything was yummy.
We sat around the campfire afterwards. Janet and I roasted a few marshmallows and just relaxed.
Oh yea I forgot wildlife LOL
