Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Thursday, February 10 - Travel Day (Jamul, CA)

Yesterday we packed up most things in preparation of traveling today. Jesse did the outside and I did the inside.

Jesse and the boys took the truck to get fuel and fill one of our propane tanks in the afternoon.

I made a chicken and rice casserole for dinner and we just relaxed for the rest of the day.

Today we finished our packing and left Yuma at 10:30am. We traveled west on interstate 8. We stopped for lunch at Subway then continued on to Passport America, Diamond Jacks RV Ranch, which is about 25 minutes east of San Diego. The rate for PA is $15.00 per night for water and electric (30 amp).

We traveled 165 miles and plan to stay until Monday. We will move on to the Napa Valley, but not sure which park yet.

Any suggestion????

The Napa Valley Expo is a great park. It's small and reservations are definitely recommended/required. It's in a great location for exploring Napa and local wineries.

If you want to go to the northern end of the valley, the Napa Valley Fairgrounds in Calistoga is OK. It's basically a gravel lot with hookups. But, hey, it's in Calistoga!

Hope that helps!

Enjoy!

Hi Ginger,
Don't know if you follow Flamingo on a Stick blog but they are at the Diamond J park also. They have a Excel 5th wheel and full time also. You ought to get together.

Hi Ginger,
Sorry I gave you miss information. After I posted my last comment I see you're at Diamond Jacks not Diamond J. Sorry about that.

Hope you enjoy your stay. Look forward to your post. Sam
