Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Monday Aug 4th - A Weekend Day

After yesterday's outing this day was quite a letdown. Jesse and I enjoyed ourselves so much being with good friends, eating, talking and laughing. Thanks so much for allowing us to be part of your lives.

Today we pretty much did our normal weekend routine. We were up by 6am and had our coffee while talking, writing and reading.

Then Jesse was hungry; imagine that. I made him some fried matzo for breakfast. The boys and I had scramble eggs and I had toast with mine.

After breakfast we got cleaned up and went to Wal*Mart to do our weekly shopping and I needed to get my prescriptions refilled.

I hear so many RV’ers make comments about having to go to Wal*Mart, but I am not sure why. I love to go to Wal*Mart. I like the one stop shopping and the prices are good. Even better now because we get a 10% discount on non-food items (as long as they are not on sale).

At our store in Pueblo West you rarely have long lines at the checkouts and our store is new and clean and we saved $9.75!!!!! not bad :~)

After we had all the groceries put away we went back to our computers. I played games and Jesse was reinstalling something on the laptop, some USB drive thing.

I also started dinner. I made chicken corn soup for dinner. Whenever I make that it takes me back to my childhood at my Uncles farm in Parkton, Maryland. They would kill and clean the chickens and we would boil and pluck the feathers. Then start a big kettle of chicken for the soup pot out over the open fire pit. We would pick the corn from the fields and husk it. Then cut the corn from the ears for the pot. Everything was fresh and sooooo good.

After dinner we watched two movies we rented while at Wal*Mart from the “Red Box” Sweeny Todd and The Kite Runner, then it was off to bed as both of us work in the morning.

See ya down the road

G&J...so glad to hear you like to play "Acquire", we'll have to arrange a marathon play-day somewhere on the road. Wish you guys were here in MD also, but we'll catch up with you soon.
Sounds like you had a fun luncheon with the gang...it was good to see their smiling faces...well, except almost Bob's:)
Hugs to both of you!
