Let me start of by thanking our friends Heinz and Irene for a wonderful time last night. They invited everyone to a chili dinner on their patio. We had cocktails at 3:30 then they served the main dish of chili and bread at 4:30. Yummy!

On with this day adventure. We piled our bikes in trucks and caravanned to Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park in Mission for the day.
There were 5 trucks with Dan in the lead.
We all arrived and unloaded our bikes to start the 6 miles around the park.
We saw birds - orioles, chachalacas, kiskadees, green jays to name a few.
We also saw my 1st baby javalina. It was very cute with it’s pink nose and light brown coat. Everyone wanted to get a look at the baby.
After most of the ride we stopped for lunch at one of the picnic areas, it was great fun.
We also rode our bikes through the RV park at Bentsen and drove around Retama Village before our travels back to Mercedes.
After returning back at the resort Jesse and I relaxed for awhile before grilling some shrimp and chicken for dinner. I also made a salad and steamed broccoli.
We watched some of the shows recorded from yesterday before watching “24”.
We were both ready for bed when the time came.
