We did very little yesterday. My brother Gene was having back surgery, so I went to the hospital to sit with Debbie.
He went in around 9:30 to fill out all the paperwork and answer all the questions. He was taken into surgery around 11am and in recovery by noon. The doctor said everything went good and we were in his room with him around 2:00. I stayed until 3:00 before leaving. The time went by fast because Debbie and I just talked about all kinds of things.
I went to the grocery store on the way home to pick up a few items. I made us turkey Ruben sandwiches, macaroni salad and UTZ potato chips for dinner. For those of you who don’t know UTZ is a Pennsylvania company and they have THE BEST potato chips. You can’t purchase them in stores anywhere, but you can follow the link and purchase them on line. They make more then just potato chips.
Jesse just hung out with the boys for the rest of the day, computering and watching TV.
Today we just spent the morning at home, again I was doing laundry, gave Mr. B a bath and trimmed him a little.
Jesse spent sometime working on our route south. He has been having problems down loading points of interest and way points to Hazel (our GPS), but finally got it to work today. Now we know where every Cracker Barrel, rest stop and Diners Drive-ins and Dives are across this USA of ours.
We were invited to Sondra’s for dinner, but Jesse and I went early so we could visit for awhile. Jesse, the boys and I got to Sondra’s about 3:00. I was suppose to set the table, but she had it all done went we got there.
We just sat around enjoying each others company.
Our Hostess
Then the family started to arrive and we sat to eat.
L-R Jesse, Susan, Marilyn, Charles, Alyssa, Madison, Jennifer, Mitchell
Mitchell, Margaret, Marcia, Sondra, Jesse and Susan.
Sondra served green salad, challah bread, baked chicken breast, couscous, sweet potato casserole, broccoli, cranberry sauce, and pickles. For dessert she baked a pineapple upside down cake and served a various array of cookies.
We enjoyed spending time with everyone and look forward to seeing them again in September.
By the time Jesse and I got back home again it was 11pm and we went to bed.

What a nice big family!! We know you are enjoying your time with them.
We don't have a GPS so I didn't know you could download all that kind of stuff. Maybe we should get one. Sounds like it is very helpful.
Take care and have fun.
Hugs,
Gerri and Mike
Next time you pass thru NC, we have UTZ chips in the grocery stores here. Honey BBQ are my all time favorite
