Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Sunday, March 21 – Last Day with Special Friends

It was raining when we got up this morning. Jesse knew the boys needed to go out so he got all dressed with rain jacket to walk them.

We both were moving slow this morning, but managed to get ready and out the door around 11:30.

We headed west to Roswell where Rich and Merry live.

We sat and visited. We talked about Craig who is Carolyn’s twin brother and lives in Chicago, so we were not able to see him on this trip.

After a while we were  going out to meet Amanda and her family for lunch. We met them at a Mexican Restaurant called Pure located in downtown Woodstock area. The decor was sure different for a Mexican place, but I thought the food was good.

Amanda ordered a peach margarita, so Merry and I did also. They both had frozen drinks, but I got mine on the rocks and It was delicious. I plan to look up a recipe for this one.

Amanda is their oldest daughter and she and John have Noah (their oldest) who is 6. He was the one playing baseball yesterday.

Then their twin girls who are 2. Livia and Addison. Addison started out not happy, but warmed up after awhile.

We had a very nice lunch and enjoyed the shorties (what Jesse calls children). We drove back to Amanda and John’s home to continue talking and watch the children play. To no surprise to anyone who knows him -  Jesse played too.

The girls thought Granddad Rich was fun to jump on.

These two were a bundle of energy and a delight to be around.

We traveled back to Rich and Merry’s home and sat with them. We didn’t stay too long, they had things to do and we needed to get back to the boys. So with hugs all around we bid them farewell for now and made a promise to see each other before another 14 years.

It was a great weekend and we both are so glad we had this time to reconnect with these special people.

Life is good!

Kids are so funny to talk to. We have some great conversations with our youngest. We like to recard the answers to questions that we ask them. What a great time.
