Wednesday, March 17 – Arrived in Atlanta

After two more uneventful days of travel we have arrived in Atlanta, GA. We will stay here for a week before moving on to Savannah.

On Tuesday we traveled 295 miles, it didn’t rain much just a few showers, although it stayed cloudy. We stayed the night in Asheville, NC.

Today we traveled 197 miles and it rained most of the day. We left at 8:30 and just a few miles up the road we stopped at Waffle House for some breakfast.

When we arrived a group of guys were there with two trucks parked in the lot. I had never seen dog kennels like this before. The third picture also had dogs behind the hinged board. According to the waitress they were going bear hunting.

We traveled the Smokey Mountains and Blue Ridge Mountains today, so there was a lot of slow going. I didn’t mind because I had my laptop. For some reason this is where Mr. B spent most of the day.

We are staying at Stone Mountain Heights RV Park. They mostly have mobile homes at this park. First time staying in a park where a school bus drops off and picks up children.

There are many trees here, which means lots of squirrels for the boys to see out the window and go wild barking.

After getting set up I called Don and Jane to let them know we were here. We met these nice folks at LGE last summer. Don is having cataract surgery tomorrow morning, so we wish him well. We made tentative plans to see them after the weekend if he feels up to it.

Also tomorrow Margaret is having knee surgery and we wish her well with a speedy recovery. We send cyber hugs and love your way.

We drove over to Walmart to pick up a few items and get something quick for dinner. Afterward we spend the evening in our recliners. I was very tired and my arms and shoulders ached so I went to bed at 9:30.
