I got a late start to my day, staying in bed until 9:00am, I just felt really lazy. Once I got up I was still moving slowly, but managed to make Jesse and I some muffins for breakfast.
I started a load of laundry and finally got showered and dressed for the day. We left the rig around 1pm and headed toward Hilton Head.
We traveled Hwy 278 which takes you around the Island.
As you drive you notice one golf course after another.
I also noticed the buildings. There must be a building code, because most theme restaurants and fast food places don’t look normal.
This is an I hop
This is an Arby’s
We headed to the visitors center to take a look around.
We stopped at a diner and shared a sandwich, other then that we just rode around and circled the Island. We plan to go back on a day we have more time.
We arrived back home, fed and walked the boys before heading to Savannah to meet friends for dinner. We found our way to the drywall yard Capitol Materials of Savannah. These friends are part of the GMS family where I use to work.
We visited for a few minutes before heading down to River Street for dinner.
Jesse said we will not move out of the RV until we can move into this, our next home. LOL.
Greg actually works for GMS in the IT department and lives on his sail boat, docked here in Savannah. More on that in a few days as we will visit him on the boat.
Tommy is the bookkeeper at the drywall yard and her husband Julian works for Gulf Stream remodeling airplanes.
We had a good time eating and talking. We listened to their talk about work and we were very happy that we didn't have those kind of stories to relay anymore. They said they were envious of our life style. Most people say they would love to have our kind of life style, but say they can’t do it yet. I advise them if they want it “Do it now” .
We lingered a long time talking after our food was done before coming home for the evening.
It was a beautiful weather day sunny and 75 degrees. We plan to sleep with the windows open tonight. Can’t tell you the last time we were able to do that.
