Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Sunday, March 14 – Lunch with M&M

Saturday

The day started really nice, although it was raining. We were at Kelsey's house by 11am. We sat with Gene, Debbie and Kelsey just visiting.

Gene was really still sore from his surgery and some movements were very painful for him. We are hoping that with time the soreness and pain will go away.

After about an hour Kelsey, Jesse and I went out in the rain to go to lunch. It had been raining pretty hard all day. We all decided to go to Chili’s for lunch. Jesse dropped us off in front of the restaurant, then parked the truck.

I always enjoy my time with this special girl. She is such a beautiful person inside and out….Can you tell I love her a lot?

After lunch we decided to walk around the mall. We sat for awhile and just watched people. It was fun making our comments to each other about the way people dress… It makes me wonder if they looked in the mirror before they left the house?

Jesse has been wanting a new blanket for our bed, so we decided on one at Sears and purchased it.

We took Kelsey home afterward and wished her a good time at her prom on the 20th. She promised to send me some pictures.

By the time we got home it was just a few minutes before 4pm.

We noticed the water in the river was coming inland.

Before the rain At 4:00 At 5:00

We looked up on the internet to see went high tide was, but weren’t sure we where reading it correctly. Jesse decided we needed to pack up and move to higher ground. I asked him where we were moving to and he said Walmart. I thought he was joking and we would just move to another site away from the river banks. The office was closed so we couldn’t ask them where to move.

After we got everything packed up and unhooked we were sitting in the truck and Jesse said he thought the water was receding. We sat there trying to decide what to do.

I thought we should just move to another site, but Jesse wanted to just set back up in the same spot. By this time I am wondering “why do I like this lifestyle?”.

So we set back up. He only connected the electric and kept the truck hook-up incase we needed to move again.

Sunday – This is what it looked like in the morning.

We got a call from Mitch and Margaret inviting us to join them at Macaroni Grill for lunch. Of course we said yes.

We had a very nice lunch and enjoyed the visit very much. We lingered for quite awhile just talking.

By the time we got home it was 3:00. This is the debris that the rising water left behind

Rob, my nephew, called to say he would be here around 4:30. He wanted to see the boys and just spend some more time with us. He is such a good person and we enjoy his company very much. We were disappointed that Sara was not with him. She was spending time with her horse.

His cousin Dale was with him. Dale was so quiet you didn’t even know he was there although the boys liked him.

After they left we just relaxed and settled down to watch our Sunday night shows.

We will travel tomorrow to Natural Bridge Station, VA for the night.

Until then stay safe and have fun.
