Wednesday, May 15 - Custer, South Dakota

 

We left Nebraska at 9am as planned. We caravanned -  Bob following us, then we followed them with some pretty countryside's.

We saw a few buffalo off in the fields.

 

The 1st little town we came to was Hot Springs, which looked really cute and I thought worth a closer look.

Then we drove through Custer on our way to Custer Gulch RV Park.

We got set-up in our back-in FHU sites, got a bite to eat then took off exploring.

 

Our 1st stop was Mount Rushmore. It hadn’t changed since we were there in 2008, but I enjoyed seeing it through B&J eyes.

We saw the film strip about how the carving of the rocks took place and walked around the shops.

Then we headed to Custer State Park looking for wild life.

We found a few buffalo, but will search out for more in days to come.

By this time we were ready to go home and just relax, and we did just that.

Wednesday, May 14 - Our Adventure Begins (Sidney, NE)

 

Bob and Janet started out in Southern Iowa — at Waubonsie State Park.

Jesse and I will start out at Mountaindale in Colorado Springs, CO.

We arrived at 1:45PM in Sidney, Nebraska at Cabela’s RV Park, B&J came in about 30 minutes later.

We both got set-up and sat and visited for awhile then went over to Pizza Hut for some food.

Afterward we strolled through Cabala’s.

We were unable to set-up our satellite so we will not be DVR’s any shows tonight, so we made sure we were back in time to watch over the air.

We plan to watch TV and just relaxing for the rest of the evening.

Our plan is to leave at 9am.

Monday, May 12 - Alaska Itinerary (Colorado Springs, CO)

 

We have received lots of questions about where we are going when heading North.

We plan to leave CO on Wednesday, May 14th and meet Bob and Janet In Nebraska.

We are heading to South Dakota to visit the presidents and other sites in the area.

Then we head to Swift Current, SK CA to visit with our friends Trent and Theresa.

We really have no dates available yet because we know the route we plan to take, but not the length of time we are staying at each location.
