Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

Sunday, May 5 - It’s Been A Week (Colorado Springs, CO)

Monday we both worked for several hours. The phones were crazy busy and David asked me to work. I had nothing else planned so I said yes. Jesse hauled rock and worked on the Ideal Cabin.

Tuesday it started to snow again.

I worked a few hours on Tuesday and Jesse worked on a shed for a few hours. It snowed most of the day off and on but didn’t amount to much.

It continued to snow on thru out the night and on Wednesday and all total we got about 4 inches.

We ran out of water so both Jesse and David hauled water all day. David found the problem. He had some leaks that needed to be repaired.

I worked in the office because we had a group of about 12 rigs coming in.

I worked again on Thursday and Friday. All the snow was gone. We have been here 17 days and have had about 14 inches of snow. I am ready for it to warm up!

The guy showed up to look at the truck. Jesse spent the afternoon with him. Then we got them checked into their cabin for the night. He called Jesse on Friday morning, and said he decided not to purchase it. So it’s still FOR SALE!

Jesse worked on Friday hauling water.

So we haven’t done anything really blog worthy all week.

Saturday I only went into the office for about 2 hours total.

Jesse and I went into Colorado Springs.  We had some errands to get done. We got the car washed, went to Pet Smart for dog food.

Then we headed to La-z-boy Furniture. We wanted to purchase new recliners and a sofa for the RV. We found something we liked and it is on order. Now we have to wait 6-8 weeks for it to come in. I really don’t like waiting for things like that, but I have no choice.

After all that shopping we were hungry so we went to Red Lobster. I have been wanting some fried shrimp and it was as good as anticipated.

We rented some movies and purchased ice cream for dessert and headed home.  We saw “The Impossible” and “Guilt Trip” they both were very well done and enjoyable.

Today I worked again because we had another group arriving. Jesse returned the movies and got a hair cut.

Tonight we have some great TV to watched so I am going to go and do that.

Sunday, April 28 - Finally Outdoors is Set Up (Colorado Springs, CO)

When I left you last we were going to Springs to watch Gage play hockey. He loves hockey and plays very well for his age group. He plays at the U.S. Olympic Training Center which is right next to the World Arena.

When we got there the Olympic Figure skaters were practicing.

They play three - 18 minute games and I am not sure but I think they won 2 of 3..

On Thursday the weather was much better and Jesse went off to work. He was only going to work for a few hours because we were going to drive to Boone where Beth lives to await the arrival of her new appliances. That took up all of our afternoon and early evening. We stopped on the way back to camp for some fast food at Arby’s. Spent the rest of the evening just munching and relaxing.

Friday Jesse went to work again and I went to town to get a manicure and shop at Safeway for meat and produce. WE love shopping at Walmart because the prices are good, but their produce and meats are not always the best.

After I returned I went right to work. We had a group arriving for the weekend and it was steady until around 4pm. I worked until 6pm went the last guest arrived.

At home I grilled some fish with baked potato and salad for dinner.

Saturday I made potato salad before going down to work in the office for 2 hours. Not much going on that needed my attention so I went home. Made some lunch for us and no sooner sat down to eat, I got called back down to check in an unscheduled guest. No problem it was quick and I was back home.

After lunch we changed and got dressed to go over to Beth’s again to help celebrate Ryan’s, our grandson, 19th birthday. It was a beautiful day around 80 degrees in Pueblo and Boone.

Adam made BBQ ribs, I made potato salad and Beth made beans, garden salad and chips and dip. It was a good time being with the family again and the birthday guy was happy with his haul.

Today we spent the day outside getting our site set-up. We also got the basement some what organized.

Then we cleared out the big truck. We have a guy coming in from Texas on Thursday that wants to buy it.

Here are some pictures of what we look like now.

After we sat outside for awhile just enjoying our space and resting. We put out the humming bird feeder and we had a bird feeding already.

I came in to take a shower while Jesse took a nap while sitting in his outdoor recliner.

To quote a dear friend  …………..  Life is Good!

Wednesday, April 24 - More Snow (Colorado Springs, CO)

We woke up to another winter wonderland on Tuesday.

Again it was just beautiful:

I had a doctor appointment, just a check up, so we drove into Pueblo. As you can see the roads were slushy;

On our way back home the roads were all cleared but there was steam from the road.

I am not sure how well it is shown in this picture but it was really cool driving through it.

We walked the boys and got them all settled, we had some lunch then we took off to the Springs to see a movie.

Was the movie we saw. It was a good Sci-Fi movie but I got lost towards the end.

On the way home we stopped and got Chinese food to bring home for dinner.

Today Jesse and I worked for a few hours. Jesse in the cabin and I worked in the office just confirming reservations.

All the snow is melted and now I am ready for it to warm up!

We are now getting ready to drive into the Springs to watch Gage play a hockey game.

Hugs to all!!
