Monday, May 2 – Another Work Day (CS,CO)

 

We got up this morning to bright sunshine and 28 degrees. Sure is a good thing Jesse unhooked the water or we would not have been able to take our showers this morning.

Jesse went off as did Tony at 9am to continue to clear brush. Jesse is on the left Tony on the right.

I also saw Jackie walking to work this morning, I work the afternoon shift going in at 1PM.

Jesse came back around 11am to inform I need not go in until 1:30, so that gave me more time to try and catch up on Hulu the shows I missed last night due to the last breaking news of the death of Bin Laden.

He came home for lunch around 12:15 and I made him a sandwich and we shared an orange.

I went into work at 1:30 and worked till 5:45. I answered the phone and took a few reservations and answered some email inquires.

UPS brought our new toilet while I was working so I called Jesse and he came and got it from the office and installed it. YEA!

When I got home we had a cocktail, then I warmed leftovers for dinner, spaghetti for Jesse and Texas Road House for me.

We watched TV and relaxed for the evening.

Sunday, May 1 - Wintery May Day (Colorado Springs, CO)

 

Okay this is my attempt to blogging daily, although I have very little to blog about.

As I told you yesterday it was snowing. This morning that snow laid on the surface of some things just as a thin blanket.

We all just snuggle in for the day, the boys.

It snowed off and on all day, with little accumulation.

Jesse and I just watched a few movies, computered and I did laundry. I made red sauce for spaghetti, using 1/2 for myself plain and the other 1/2 for Jesse with hot sausage. 

While we were having our dinner it really started to snow heavily.

 

Only it didn’t last long so we still had very little accumulation.

Saturday, April 30 – Bright Sunshine! Dinner with Friends!! (CS,CO)

 

We expected to wake up to wet and cold, but were very pleased to find the sun out bright. The storms that were suppose to arrive last night are now predicted to arrive tonight. I wish they would just stay away!

I did some laundry and changed to sheets, got a shower, while Jesse was working on his computer skills. Afterward he worked on his water filter project. Still not completed, he may have stripped the holder thingy and may need to start over.

I walked over to Jackie’s to see how she did at WW this morning and she did very good and was all smiles.

Keith was trying to connect a satellite dish for them so they could have TV. We sat on their patio and visited and made plans to go into the Springs for dinner together.

We left them to have their lunch while I came home and warmed the leftover from dinner last night for our lunch.

I wrote the blog from yesterday, continued to do laundry while Jesse took a nap.

At 4:30 we all piled into their Honda for the trip to the Springs.

Our choice for dinner was decided to be Texas Roadhouse. Jesse and I suggested Jorges for Mexican, but Jackie said they went to go there the other day and it was closed for remodeling.

We had a very nice dinner and the conversation was non stop.

By the time we got home it had really started to get colder. Jesse took the boys for a short walk and we then watched some movie on TV.

When it was time to go off to bed, Jesse took the boys for their final walk for the day and it was snowing!!!

I cleaned them off and dried then when they returned and Jesse went back out to disconnect the water for the night.
