This morning we were up at 5:30am. We were taking Ed and Marilyn to the airport, as they were flying to Missouri for the birth of their granddaughter. But first we were going to breakfast Las Vegas Cafe in Harlingen.
We were sitting at our table and had our coffee, just placed our order when everything went dark. The lights went out in the whole block. They came to give us a small battery operated lantern for the table and let us know they use a gas grill.
We got our breakfast hot and very tasty, the atmosphere and company was great. We never saw a check, thanks Ed.
Afterward we dropped them at the airport with hugs all around. We wished them a safe trip and I asked Marilyn to give Colby and Jennifer a hug from me.
Jesse and I returned home walked the boys and just relaxed for a while. Then we went to the movies in Harlingen to see “The Book of Eli” I enjoyed it very much (It helped that one of most favorite actors Denzel Washington was the star) and it had with a surprise at the ending.
Afterwards we came home and relaxed some more. This retired lifestyle gives us plenty of time for that and we love it.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
