We were scheduled to go on a bird walk at the State Park this morning. We met at RV Dreams South Texas Social Directors site (named by Howard and Linda) Ed and Marilyn’s.
Now I am not much of a bird watcher, but I thought it would be nice to get out with some friends and get some exercise, it was suppose to be about 2 hours and it started at 8:30am.
Now for those who know us we are early risers, but we are not usually out of the house this early. Were just sitting around enjoying coffee and our morning routine.
Our group today was Ed & Marilyn, Kit & Jerry and Jesse and I.

This was taken through our guide, Kyle’s, spotting scope. This is a bird nesting on the ground that is usually only seen at night.
This was an interesting looking tree Jesse liked.
And another see the berries, no idea what kind.
I also got a picture of a turtle in the water sunning on some drift wood.
After our exercise we went to Mingo’s for some breakfast, which was very good and priced right $12 for the two of us.
When we got home we walked the Boys in the dog park which is very nice.
It has a pond in the middle and a walking path around it.
It became very windy this afternoon and was like that the rest of the day, but in the 70’s.
After a short rest we drove into Harlingen and went to Target to pick up a few things and get fuel.
Once home I made 2 loaves of pumpkin bread and we had chili cheese dogs and pasta salad for dinner.
We watched TV and relaxed the rest of the evening.
