Fun, Fun Fun!!

Fun, Fun Fun!!

January 8 & 9 – Nice days in RGV

On Thursday after we both did our walks and had our showers we went to the post office in Weslaco to apply for our passports.

It took us about 40 minutes and should have them in about 3 weeks.

Once we were done with that we just hung out at the rig, walking the boys a few times and computering. (My new word for being on the computer)

At 4:00 we were meeting some of our group to ride our bikes to the rec hall for a hamburger cook out sponsored by the wood shop. They served hamburgers with all the fixins, potato salad, baked beans and 2 beers or 2 sodas. They also served a brownie for dessert and the cost was $6.00 per person.

After riding back to the RV we just watched TV until bed.

Friday after we both did our walks and got showered we went to the RV show here in Mercedes. It was very small, but had a lot of RV’s and park model trailers to walk through.

We had a hot dog from one of the booths and talked with some representatives from camp grounds about workamping.

Afterwards we went to DQ and got a blizzard. We rode around the area and were amazed at the housing conditions. They were not much more then shacks, and not well maintained.

We went to ED & Marilyn’s and joined some of the others for happy hour. We all laughed and had a fun time talking about when we were in high school.

Just about dusk we went home and watched a movie Ed had lent us.

And that’s the highlights of two of our days here in RGV.

See ya down the road.

Sounds like fun to me. We will have to find many of those hamburger dinners when we hit the road.
